Sections of the center design were digitized with black-work
patterns in Turbo-Cross and then inserted into Artista software.   Appliquéd fabrics were placed under each section.  The background   is machine stitching with twin  needle , using shades of
same colour for each section.

This design was  digitized in three sections....repeating one section 4 times.  Each piece  was stitched onto calico, cut out then hand stitched into place.  The center section has been padded to bring it forward.   The
design was inspired by North American Indian  Motifs.

This bag is made in velvet.     Lattice stitched in triple stitch with triple needle.  Circles digitized....2 layers of satin stitch anchored with a row of entredau stitch, then cut  bobbin thread cut to make fringe.

I had to make a fun hat to wear to dinner at a sewing weekend....... being a very practical person I decided to make a bag the could be worn as a hat.   I put it on my head like wearing a motar-board with all the tassels off to one side.

I call this vest Sari Silk.   Each colour section has been digitized with an open pattern fill over a contrasting satin appliquéd.  Some areas were embroidered with gold machine stitches . It was sewn onto black organza,   cut out then patched back together,   then attached to the vest fabric. Gold cord was couched over the seams.

Strips of fabric were woven on a pin board.   Interfacing  ironed on the back to hold together.  Circles digitized in Artista  Software.  sewn in different shades of gold an silver.  Joins covered with machine stitches.
Love Zebras............ collected designs for along time...... had to find a way to use them.  You cant miss me when I wear this one.

This vest is made of plain net curtain material.   Lace designs sewn directly to fabric using 2 layers of 541 wash away.   Hatching - entredaux stitch  on machine.   Edge machine satin stitched, then cut away.
Strips of material were adhered to background fabric.  Edges of fabric were sewn down with patterns from Bernina CPS.   Poppies from
Bernina.  I digitized wheat sheaves.

Carp and water lilies from Husqvarna Embroidery Library.  The large Lilly on the back was an appliquéd design and I added the fill stitches.  The colours are more pink like the picture on the back.

Black suede Designer1 vase design with extra digitized pieces.
Circles in two shades of grey.  The lines.... twin needles.. shades of grey.
West Australian wildflowers - drawings by Jo Symons and digitized by Bev Lazaroo.

Jo Symons 'introduced' me to Bev.  Thank you so much, Jo.

I would love for Bev to visit us in the US from Australia so she could teach us how to make such exquisite cushions!  I think it is a great idea, don't you?

Bev, thank you so much for sharing some of your lovely work with us.
