	My husband, Bob, broke his foot for his 50th birthday. Happy birthday, Bob! He eventually ended up in a walking cast/boot. It is pretty cold around here in Michigan in the snow and ice and he asked me to make something that would cover the toe of his boot when he went out so his toes would stay warm.
	It is UGLY but I made him a cover for his cast. I used some polar fleece that I had left over and just drafted up a pattern for it. Necessity IS the mother of invention! I used my serger for the construction.
	I used some of the no-slip fabric that you can get for jammies. It made the bottom so it wasn't so slippery. He didn't have to wear this very often but he tells me that it helped. His foot is healed now and I'm glad he doesn't have to walk around in that cast (or it's cover!).
