Please allow extra time for page to load - lots of pictures!

The hardwood flooring takes a lot of detail.  It is so beautiful.
Here are the cabinets on the other side of the back wall.  Bob put together all these cabinets - whew!  There are 12 of them for my island alone.  Each one of them in the island has a drawer.  Now where did I put those scissors???  Maybe I'll have a pair for each one!  OK, that might be a bit much.
It is a bit hard to see but the trim is in around the window and along the flooring.  Some of the trim pieces are leaned up in front of the windows.  You can see the island has a temporary cover now.
Steve combined all the cabinets together for my island.  The island is tipped onto its side.  You can see the bottom under the kick plates where he screwed them together.  We decided to make the kick plates flush rather than recessed.
Bob and Steve are putting the island right side up.  It VERY heavy now.
Here are some of the top cabinets too.  Not all the doors are hung yet.  We put a piece of oak trim between the top and bottom.  The cabinets under the lower windows are starting to take shape.  They still need backing.  There is a counter top between them.
The skylight is all done except for the motorized blind.  You can't really see the trim so much in this picture but it is really pretty.  It has a design embossed on it.  All the light cans have the cover fixtures on them now too.
Here is one of my new oak desks.  Bob and Paul went to Ohio to pick it up.  We saved about $850 for the delivery and setup fee.
Here is part of my corner computer desk.  The flat edge on the left front is where the other piece will attach.  There is a hutch that goes on this too.
Remember that $850 we saved?  Well, that meant I had enough to buy a beautiful bookcase.  I still had some "saved money" left over.  There will be shelves inside the glass area when it is all set up.
The oak trim is finished around the cabinets.  Here is the beginning of the bridge.  That's what I call it.  Right now it is only one board across the top.  It will bridge the two banks of cabinets on the west wall.  Bob got some recessed lights for it for over the working area under the windows.
